1. Tea for Harmony: Yaji Cultural Salon

In collaboration with the GuoFengGuan Cultural Art Centre, CNTO organized the "Tea for Harmony: Yaji Cultural Salon", an elegant cultural journey gathering traditional Chinese tea culture and aesthetic philosophy. Guests were treated to live tea brewing performances, tea ceremonies, Hanfu displays inviting the audience to embrace the tranquility and artistry of classical Chinese culture. The event fostered cultural tourism and appreciation of Canadians, reinforcing CNTO’s mission of promoting cultural tourism rooted in authenticity and heritage.

Spring/ Summer Event Recap 2025
The China National Tourist Office (CNTO), Toronto successfully engaged Canadian audiences this spring and early summer through a variety of cultural events that celebrated the richness of Chinese culture and tourism. The events organized or participated as a premium sponsor showcased the diversified faces of traditional and popular culture, and with selected events crossover with popular North American themes.
From anime fandoms to traditional tea ceremonies and high-energy sports festivals, CNTO brought an immersive experience to the Greater Toronto Area, strengthening cultural ties and fostering interests in Chinese travel and cultural explorations.
2. Anime North 2025: Black Myth: Wukong Makes a Bold Statement
Date: May 23–25, 2025
Location: Toronto Congress Centre
Anime North is one of North America's largest fan conventions, CNTO is glad to showcase at the dedicated gaming theme zone and introduced visitors to the highly anticipated action-RPG video game Black Myth: Wukong—inspired by the legendary Chinese epic Journey to the West. Attendees experienced immersive reels of the game, received promotional materials highlighting mythical Chinese legend, and gained deeper appreciation for China’s folklore and tourism potential through interactive storytelling.
3. The 37th Toronto International Dragon Boat Race Festival 2025
Date: June 14-15, 2025
Location: Toronto Centre Island
As a sponsor of the Toronto International Dragon Boat Race Festival 2025, the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Toronto, and China National Tourist Office, Toronto played a prominent role in one of North America’s most anticipated summer sporting events. Attracting over 180 teams and tens of thousands of spectators, the festival served as a dynamic cultural tourism event to showcase its campaigns. CNTO’s cultural booth featured interactive activities, traditional arts & crafts, and travel information of China. Visitors explored travel opportunities to destinations known for their natural beauty, history, and cultural depth.

Through these diverse early summer engagements, CNTO Toronto continues to strengthen cultural tourism connections and showcase to all visitors the wonders of China. As we move into the second half of 2025, CNTO is committed to further developing and promoting a modern, multi-dimensional image of China as a world-class travel destination.
