The Toronto Dragon Festival (TDF) is one of the largest and most influential Chinese cultural festivals in Canada, TDF 2025 continued to blend Chinese cultural heritage with modernity, offering a dynamic and inclusive cultural experience to the public and international tourists across the world.
CNTO Introduced the mythological character- the Monkey King (Sun Wukong) in live interaction and engaged different generation of audiences. Other highlights of the 3 days programs included the highly anticipated stage shows, nighttime Luminati water stage shows, cultural elements including the dragon and lion dances, technology zone with integrated cutting-edge technology such as humanoid robots, food and beverage zone, merchandise zone, and more.

2025 Summer and Autumn Events Recap
As summer transitioned into autumn in 2025, the China National Tourist Office, Toronto, successfully organized and supported a series of tourism and cultural events that showcased Chinese heritage, strengthened the exchanges between Canada and China, and attracted public engagement.
As part of the “A Moonment to Remember” Mid-Autumn series organized by the China National Tourist Office in Toronto, the Mississauga Mid Autumn Lanterns Festival 2025 integrated night market experiences with cultural celebrations. The 3 days event delivered festivities with free lanterns and artistic night lights installations for public participation such as photo opportunities and exhibition, creating an immersive experience with the celebration of reunion.
CNTO promoted China's 240 hours visa-free transit policy and engaged with the public by launching the lights show and photo zone at the Mississauga Mid Autumn Lanterns Festival 2025. The event received strong support from both mainstream and multicultural media, and by combining night markets, lantern displays, and cultural performances, the festival comes to a successful conclusion to showcase China’s tourism and cultural heritage.

2. Mississauga Mid-Autumn Lanterns Festival
As the finale event of “A Moonment to Remember: Mid-Autumn Cultural Series” organized by the China National Tourist Office in Toronto, and the Canadian Chinese Opera Art Association, the celebration included two performances of the full-length Peking Opera "Legend of the White Snake" with live orchestra at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts. The event concluded successfully with full house attendance.
The acclaimed performances were artistically directed and performed by the national first-class performers and former National Peking Opera Company performers. The performances were accompanied by one of North America's most prominent crew- Wenwuchang Orchestra and presented with Chinese and English subtitles.
CNTO presented the idea of celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival with performing arts as the universal language, the multidimensional cultural experiences attracted extensive media coverage enhanced the visibility and aroused attendees’ interests to explore Chinese cultural heritage in Canada.

3. “A Moonment to Remember” Mid-Autumn Series: Legend of the White Snake
The China National Tourist Office, Toronto proudly presented “A Moonment to Remember” Symphonic Concert, an enchanting evening concert with Mid Autumn Festival theme celebrating Chinese culture through music and art. The event showcased the beauty of cultural exchange through symphony with captivating melodies and imagery, the concert invited Canadian audiences to experience the harmony and timeless charm of China.
This event is supported by the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Toronto and the China National Tourist Office, Toronto. The Bank of China proudly serves as the Title Sponsor, with additional support from various corporate partners and Canadian media organizations. The community supporters dedicated generous contributions and continued encouragement, their collective effort made this meaningful cultural celebration possible, fostering friendship and mutual understanding between China and Canada through the universal language of music.
